Gaetano Pidatella

Gaetano was born in Catania, Sicily, at the foot of Mount Etna, but grew up in Milan. 

This duality resulted in two souls coexisting within him: the warm, instinctive spirit of his homeland, and the curious, creative side he has cultivated over time in a cosmopolitan city like Milan.

Cooking has always been his love language. Since childhood, he’s been fascinated by observing, experimenting, and creating moments of connection through food. Over the years, that passion turned into a profession, and he’s worked as a chef in many restaurants, learning how technique and sensitivity can turn a dish into a full sensorial experience.

During Covid, he felt the need to change perspective; he discovered food styling for films and commercials as a new way to tell stories through food.

Today, he combines technique, aesthetics, and nature to create images that speak of flavor and authenticity. He loves capturing the magic of food in its most vivid form — the kind that evokes emotion even before it’s tasted.
