Bottega Verde was founded in 1972 in Pienza, Italy, as a small herbalist's shop that since the beginning has been engaged in the research of cosmetic products based on natural active ingredients. In 1986 the first single-brand store was opened, leading Bottega Verde to become the first group in Italy for the number of cosmetic shops.
In 2000 it began expanding abroad, setting up more than eighty stores in Europe and the United States. While in 2011 the first Bottega Verde wellness centre was inaugurated in Modena: Naturalmente Spa.
In the creation and development of its products, Bottega Verde combines its research for natural quality with the most advanced technologies.
The Bottega Verde Research & Development Laboratory collaborates with the Universities of Milan and Ferrara.
